exhausted

quick because i should be sleeping.

1) hardest goodbye ever today with my parents at the airport. a lot of crying was involved. i spent much of the remainder of the day wondering if two years is just too much. then again, i haven't slept since sunday night, which is probably effecting my emotions more than a little.

2) today in the midst of peace corps orientation stuff, we received an impromptu speech from a man who happened to be at the same hotel for an accounting conference (or something like that?). he was ghanaian, and told us that in the 70's, six or seven peace corps volunteers taught in his village, and that he wouldn't be where he is without them. he thanked us repeatedly. it was extremely touching.



i can't recall ever having been this tired. i haven't slept since sunday night. even tonight, i'll have six hours at the most. how did that happen?! goodnight!
